Traziende Films anuncia la integración de Juan Manuel Borbolla como CEO

- THE COMPANY CELEBRATES IT’S 19TH ANNIVERSARY WITH AGGRESIVE GROWTH PLANS -


(January, 2019 – Mexico City) – Leo Zimbron and Monica Vargas, founders of TRZ Comunicacion (TRZ), home of Traziende Films, today announced the appointment of Juan Manuel Borbolla as CEO. He will be responsible for creating a new management structure to allow the company to execute an aggressive growth strategy by fostering a more integrated approach to film, Televisión and entertainment content development and production.


Building on the strong position Traziende Films has achieved in Mexico as a partner to the local and international production community, Borbolla will assume direct responsibility to create, develop and execute a new studio approach to content development just in time to celebrate its 19th anniversary.


“Juan Manuel and I go way back to when we produced films together for Warner Bros. when I was appointed Director of Local Production”, said Leo Zimbron, seasoned producer and founder of TRZ, “Juan Manuel’s record of success and wide range of experience across various sectors of the industry will be instrumental in creating a best in class managing group, critical to achieving our ambitious business objectives”.


Monica Vargas, also founder of TRZ and key partner in production activities commented: “In fact, the first film we produced was Efectos Secundarios back in 2005, in coproduction with Warner Bros. I am thrilled that Juan Manuel has decided to join us”, she added.


"As the industry moves into new formats and means of content distribution, our focus will be to take TRZ into the next level”, said Borbolla, “We see a clear opportunity for a comprehensive development strategy that will produce a steady growth for the company” he added. “In this new era of increased content production worldwide, the quality of our content development will be the key to achieve our goals and reach new markets”.


Juan Manuel was most recently CEO of TPL Digital Content where he created a satellite network to deliver theatrical releases for the majors, covering the whole Latam region with over 750 theatres. Under his leadership, the company achieved 82% market share during the first 8 years. Prior to TPL, Juan Manuel acted as Managing Director for Warner Bros. Pictures Mexico where he acquired an extensive expertise in theatrical distribution and film production.
